Depending on what type of group you belong to, there are various scheduling policies and procedures at Florida Tech.
Off-Campus
Groups - To check the availability and pricing
for facilities and services at Florida Tech, contact
the Office of Conferences and Events at (321) 674-8125.
Once initial arrangements have been made with
our office, we will set up a contract with you
for your event.
Student Organizations - All student organizations
must be registered student organizations with
the Office of Student Activities before permitted
to reserve any space on campus. Please contact
the Office of Student Activities at x8134. Student
Organizations must have all paperwork to schedule
space and services approved by the Office of Student
Activities.
A Faculity Request Form or Major Event Form is required to reserve space on campus.
Campus Departments - Many different departments
schedule meeting spaces on campus. Please contact
the Office of Conferences and Events for more information.
Catering - All catering services are provided by the University Food Services Catering Office operated out of the SUB Cafe and Deli. For more information, contact (321) 674-8077.
Promoting Your Event
To assist in promoting your event, you may request that it appear on the Florida Tech “Calendar of Events” website found at http://events.fit.edu/. This website lists university events taking place both on and off campus. Just send your event information to conference@fit.edu or call 674-8125.
The university also has a closed-loop cable system. Any campus room with a cable drop can be tuned to channel 98, which is the Campus Events and Information station. TV98 lists the events taking place today and runs slides similar to powerpoint.
